Firesafe House

The FIRESAFE HOUSE is a mobile classroom, designed and built for the purpose of educating persons of all ages about safety in the home.

Our primary target group is our schools. In 2001, in cooperation with The Allegany County School Board, we started presenting the FIRESAFE program to every third grade student in the county. We have made this a part of their elementary education.  In 2005 we expanded the program to include Garrett County.  Through this program we have been able to teach fire safety to thousands of students.

Being the first of its kind in Allegany County, the FIRESAFE HOUSE was purchased with funds raised by our membership and donations from other charitable organizations, NOT a penny of which was tax money.

The FIRESAFE HOUSE operates from May to October.
